Some of you may feel like you’re in a boxing ring with the enemy, but remember he has no control! He is powerless! All he is capable of doing is deceiving you – Don’t be trapped in his corner. It’s been known that, no other punch in boxing causes more knockouts than the hook. The greatest boxers in the world execute the hook with precision and careful timing to inflict punishment on their opponents. The hook, along with the cross and uppercut, is one of the sport’s basic power punches. Listen – You have the power to take out that right-hook, take out that left-hook, use a good jab, and upper-cut! You have the power to knock him out and give him a black eye!
I receive daily inspirational emails from a co-worker at work. They’re always encouraging and uplifting! I thought I’d share this one with you guys:
You need to understand that the enemy is not really after your dreams, your health, or your finances. He’s not primarily after your family. He’s after your joy.
“The joy of the LORD is your strength”
(Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV)
The enemy knows if he can deceive you into living down in the dumps and depressed, you are not going to have the necessary strength–physically, emotionally, or spiritually–to withstand his attacks. When you rejoice in the midst of your difficulties, you’re giving the enemy a black eye. He doesn’t know what to do with people who keep giving God praise despite their circumstances.
Learn how to smile and laugh. Quit being so uptight and stressed out. Make your choices to enjoy your life to the fullest today!
