Sometimes we get so caught up in our own self-pity that we actually become self-centered. We become self-righteous and we get satisfied with complaining. We get satisfied with our negativity. We become content with our situation and lose sight of what God promised us. We lose our self-esteem. We lose our vision. We lose our goals. We get caught up in lost friendships, ruined relationships, troubled finances, hating our jobs, dealing with children, bad health reports, business failures, etc. We get caught up so much so, that we fall deep into our situations and we begin to ask ourselves – What am I going to do? What can I do to fix this? What can I do to make this better? What can I do to get over this? What can I do to face next month? It’s I-I-I-I. We ask ourselves these questions and forget to ask one question, God how are You going to fix this? How are You going to fix this, God? We think about ourselves so much that we forget to fall to our knees and rely on Him. We forget that He numbered the stars in the sky. He separated the water from the earth. He hung the moon in the evening. He suspended the sun in the morning and painted the clouds in the sky.
We forget that He is God.
He is God and God alone.
We allow our situations to hinder us and we become so handicapped and crippled that we forget what we are capable of. We forget the priority in our lives. We forget there is a path for us and we lose our footsteps – the footsteps, which lead us to Him and down a path of righteousness for His name’s sake. God wants to remind you who He is. He is a miracle-maker and He has not forgotten you. He will turn your situation around. Don’t get so caught up that you forget what He promised you.
Are you trusting Him?
Are you relying on Him?
Are you putting your faith in Him?
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you.”
