Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. – Proverbs 3:5
When I tell you that you don’t have to go through your situation alone some of you won’t believe me! However, some of you are begging to know how to turn your situation around. You’re dying to know how things will get better and at this point, you’re pretty much clinging on to the little ounce of hope that somehow has been deposited into your spirit. The ounce of hope that you had no idea was capable of springing forth and that, which God allowed to dwell within you all along! It’s that same ounce of hope that is strong enough to pull you through and take you from day-to-day, from trial-to-triumph, and glory-to-glory! Listen you are not alone! God hasn’t left you. He hasn’t abandoned you and He hasn’t walked away from you! He’s there…He’s standing there waiting for you to stop trying to figure it out! Maybe it’s time to stop your wheels from spinning and stop your thoughts from taking over and Trust God! He’ll put an end to those sleepless nights and allow anxiety to cease, but again some of you won’t believe me and some are clinging on to that small ounce of Hope! You’re exhausted…tired…and weary, but don’t give up, don’t quit and don’t stop hoping. It’s that ounce of hope that will help you overcome. The Lord wants to give you rest!
For those that are weary….
Don’t underestimate the power of God. Don’t underestimate what He can do in your life. Don’t underestimate what He wants to change in your life. Don’t underestimate how He can transform your life. He wants to renew you, repair you, and restore you. All you have to do is seek Him. If you can just grab a hold of that word and have just a tiny ounce of faith. Watch what He can do for you. I promise He can turn your situation around. It’s not just a cliché. It’s more than that.
When you start at point A with nowhere to turn and no one to turn to….the point where you’ve already tried….You’ve tried your old ways and you got used to your old thinking, but nothing has changed…He will allow you to do a 180 and bring you to point B. You’ll look back at where you once were and ask, How did I get here…How did you bring me through it? All you have to do is hold on to your faith. I don’t care if it’s microscopic or enormous and gigantic. He will do the unthinkable and the unimaginable. Just hold on to your faith.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
I thought He forgot about me when I needed Him. I told Him that I needed to hear from Him. I wanted to hear his voice to get instruction….to receive a word. Why was He being silent toward me? I was fasting. I was reading. I was praying. I sought Him, but I got nothing. Was it because I chose to selfishly believe that I could take from Him when I wanted to take from Him? I believe it most certainly was. I wanted Him when I wanted Him. I wanted His time and forgot that He actually needed my time. I didn’t seek Him daily. I put other things before Him and I forgot He was standing there. He wanted to remind me that He never left. He was waiting for me to shut-up, even when I didn’t speak. He was waiting for me to shut-off my own thoughts and humble myself. Weeks went by and it was then, in a very quiet hour that He spoke to me and I could hear Him clearly. I finally let go and dropped all my bags of distraction.
It’s hard to walk down a path with all your bags in your hands. Be honest with yourself and drop the bags of pride, the bags of distraction, the bags of egos. I don’t know how big your bags are, but your journey will be much easier once you drop your bags and obey. Sometimes we even carry hurt, frustration, doubt, and pain in our bags. Hand them over to God and He’ll carry them for you. He just wants you to walk with Him. He didn’t create your path so that you could carry distractions or walk with emotional sufferings tucked away in your bags.
Listen, don’t become so consumed with everything in your bags, holding on to your past, pleasing people, or simply pleasing yourself that you forget about Him. Yes, you’ve said a quick prayer last night or this morning, but was it enough? Are you giving Him what He desires? He wants your attention. He wants you to spend time with Him. He’s very jealous of the things you allowed to replace your time . What are the things in your bags that you let interfere in your relationship with God? What bags do you need Him to carry for you?
All He wants is you.
“He died for all people, so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for the one who died and rose for them.”
II Cor. 5:15
Sometimes we get so caught up in our own self-pity that we actually become self-centered. We become self-righteous and we get satisfied with complaining. We get satisfied with our negativity. We become content with our situation and lose sight of what God promised us. We lose our self-esteem. We lose our vision. We lose our goals. We get caught up in lost friendships, ruined relationships, troubled finances, hating our jobs, dealing with children, bad health reports, business failures, etc. We get caught up so much so, that we fall deep into our situations and we begin to ask ourselves – What am I going to do? What can I do to fix this? What can I do to make this better? What can I do to get over this? What can I do to face next month? It’s I-I-I-I. We ask ourselves these questions and forget to ask one question, God how are You going to fix this? How are You going to fix this, God? We think about ourselves so much that we forget to fall to our knees and rely on Him. We forget that He numbered the stars in the sky. He separated the water from the earth. He hung the moon in the evening. He suspended the sun in the morning and painted the clouds in the sky.
We forget that He is God.
He is God and God alone.
We allow our situations to hinder us and we become so handicapped and crippled that we forget what we are capable of. We forget the priority in our lives. We forget there is a path for us and we lose our footsteps – the footsteps, which lead us to Him and down a path of righteousness for His name’s sake. God wants to remind you who He is. He is a miracle-maker and He has not forgotten you. He will turn your situation around. Don’t get so caught up that you forget what He promised you.
Are you trusting Him?
Are you relying on Him?
Are you putting your faith in Him?
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you.”
I believe that God placed something deep within your belly…deep within your spirit that only you have the ability to grab hold of! It’s those moments of transition where you are confused…hurt…or alone that you must seek Him in order for your assignment to be revealed! Don’t give up on the promise He has for you! Out of all His creations, only you can fulfill the unique purpose that He placed over your life! Despite the transition, pain, and obstacle you face, you must realize that He has already triumphed in your situation. Sometimes, you have to face a crossroads and you must choose. Will you choose the path of fear, anger, guilt, or self-righteousness? It’s important for you to know that He will not give up on you.
He wants to take you by the hand.
He already knows the steps to take you down the path that he designed just for you!
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
“I have to get things in order and fix them first. I have to fix my mistakes first.” If that’s what you’ve told yourself. Forget it – won’t ever happen. We do not “find ourselves” or “find our life” by pursuing it. We find it by losing it in something, or someone, greater than ourselves. We don’t “fix” our current situation or “fix” our mistakes. Try and you will do just that….you’ll die trying. He is the “Master Fixer” and Healer. You can find your life by losing it to Jesus and the work of his Kingdom.

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Osteen
“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth…”
(Deuteronomy 8:18, NKJV)
God wants to do something great in and through you. He has blessings in your future that you haven’t even thought of yet!
The Scripture tells us that He gives us the power to gain wealth. Wealth is simply having abundance. He wants you to live in abundance so that He can use you to be a blessing to others.
When we do things God’s way, we get God’s results.
In other words, when we live in excellence and integrity, when we follow the Word of God, we will walk in His blessing.
Notice one more thing about this verse. It says that “He gives us the power to get wealth.” See, God gives us the ability. He gives us creative ideas and inventions, but we have to be diligent to do our part and step out and use what He’s given us. We have to sow good seed in order to see the harvest that He has promised. Today, choose to be faithful. Choose to be diligent. Choose to follow God in everything and watch Him pour out His abundant blessing on you!
Father, thank You for giving me the power to live in abundance. I choose to be faithful to You and Your Word. I choose to diligently follow Your commands and look for Your hand of blessing on everything I set my hands to in Jesus’ name. Amen.
We may not understand all things. We may experience suffering, heartache, emptiness, and sadness. I’m reminded that Jesus receives the glory in all things. What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory that is to be revealed in us (Rom 8:18)!
“Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
