You Know My Darkest Secrets

You know my darkest secrets
You know my darkest fears
You know my weaknesses
You know my mistakes
You still love me
You still protect me
You still comfort me
You still forgive me
You never left me
You never walked away
You never abandoned me
You never turned Your face

In my frustration You understand and You listen
In my silence I draw close to You…nothing else is soothing
In my cold and bitter thoughts You wrap and shelter me with Your grace and beauty
Your kindness and mercy breathes life within me
Your glory is shown even when I stumble in darkness
Your mercy overflows and satisfies my emptiness

I’ll never be worthy
I’ll never fathom Your miracles and wonders
I’ll never understand Your unmerited love for me
I’ll never have enough gratitude
You’ll forever be my savior in wilderness
You’ll forever reign with splendor and glory
You’ll forever be King over all the earth
You’ll forever be seated high with majesty and power

My Life As A Stud

Well, not really my life, but I wanted to share this powerful story with you (for those that don’t know – a “stud” is slang for a female that is attracted to women and takes on the masculine role) Maybe, you are someone….or maybe you know someone who considers themselves to be homosexual, gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgender? Maybe, you don’t even like the title, but you still struggle with the thought and the actions of being anything but heterosexual? It’s by far – not my job to judge you, criticize you, look down upon you, or belittle you. I’m not going to preach to you or force you to change your beliefs. It is my job, as a disciple of Christ to share His love and truth with you. Always remember that you are still loved – His love for you will always be greater than anyone or anything on this earth. Never forget that! You must also remember that He is still saddened by the sin – the sin of living a lifestyle that is not pleasing in His eyes. His heart aches for you to turn away and turn to Him – and that is the truth!

Here’s a powerful testimony from a young woman, Jackie Hill of Passion 4 Christ Movement sharing her testimony in a spoken word poetry form. She’s raw, uncut, real, and transparent. It is my prayer that you are inspired, encouraged, and uplifted. I beg you to listen to her story by watching the video, below:

So are you ready to change your life today? Are you ready to make the first step in becoming the person God called you to be? You don’t have to do anything drastic or anything to be put on display…Simply trust Jesus for your salvation. Believe that He loves you and created you exactly how He wanted you to be before you entered the earth.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…” Jeremiah 1:5

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27

Believe that His son Jesus died on the cross and paid the price for your sins and that His resurrection guarantees your eternal life. That is how you accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior. You will be saved by the grace of God, not because you try to make things right in your life. He wants you to accept this salvation only because He loves you! It is not something to be earned…it is a free gift.

Maybe, you’ve already prayed the prayer of salvation in the past, but you still find a way to prove your actions and your thoughts. Maybe, you still believe that if you stay the way you are, you’ll still live eternal life with Christ and enter the gates of Heaven. Please don’t be deceived – don’t allow Satan to mastermind your thoughts. Don’t allow him to feed you excuses and lies. The truth is – God is hurt, He is saddened, and He reaches out His hand unto to you. Let Him take you by the hand…accept Him and confess Him as your personal Lord and Savior. If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved (Romans 10:9-10). If you are ready to accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus, and if you truly wish for Him to enter your heart to be your personal Lord and Savior, then pray this prayer:

Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the grave so that I might have eternal life in heaven with You. I willingly repent of my sins and ask you to come into my heart and life. Transform me, Renew me, Awaken me, Renovate me and repair me. Make me like you! I rid my old ways and my old thinking. I leave the past behind today and I choose to follow You. Take control of my words, thoughts, and actions. I place all of my trust in You for my salvation. I accept You as my Lord and Savior, and this free gift of eternal life. Amen.

If you have just prayed this prayer and accepted Christ, welcome to the family of God! Again, maybe this isn’t your first time praying this prayer – well welcome back!  Now, just get involved – seek counsel from a spiritual advisor, fellowship with other believers, start praying and talking to God, find a great bible-believing church, and most importantly – start reading the bible! The days ahead of you may not be easy, but He will always be with you. Just let Him be your guide and He’ll lead the way for you. I promise, now that you’ve accepted Him – you are hooked like a fish being caught in the middle of the sea….There’s no way off that hook. You’ll begin to have encounters with Him like never before. He’ll start aligning your steps, you’ll eventually find that people among your circle of friends will be removed and replaced. You’ll go through transitions that will shift you in the direction that God had planned for you all along! Get ready to live a whole new life – Today is the day you get to start over!

Lord thank You for allowing me to bless and lift Your name
I praise You and lift Your name on high
There is no one like You, Oh God
I ask that, You continue to use me
I desire to be Your Mary
I seek to empty my most precious and most valuable oil across Your feet
Cleanse them equally with the locks of my hair
I wish to sing the song You desire and long to hear
I want to be Your delicate worshiper
I will move and step to the dance You want to see
I will always hunger and wait patiently
Feed my spirit, which yearns for You
I will always be thirsty for more and more of you
Your love is everlasting and I THANK YOU!
Thank You for taking me by the hand
Leading the way, as my Father
As your child, I will always follow
My heart can never empty enough thanks,
But I say…
Thank You Lord
Thank You!

I was encouraged to write this during a very stressful day at work and after going through a time where others needed me. They needed me to help encourage them & uplift them…I wanted everything to just be right, to just be OK. It was such an overwhelming feeling and it took a toll on me. I was sitting at my desk on the verge of just breaking down. Out of nowhere, I got a text message from a friend and it simply said, “you inspire me.” While trying to be strong for everyone else I wasn’t being strong for myself. I realized that God was speaking to me, telling me to stay strong because I’m chosen. There was no need to be weak because I had to do the assignment He needed me to do, by just allowing Him to use me & speak through me in order to reach someone else and then He would handle the rest. Once I realized that I said, Wow….Lord I want to please you – I want to be the Mary that worships you gracefully and complete Your will!

“Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.” John 12:3

The Full Armor of God

My sister and I actually wrote this a couple of years ago and never did anything with it. Just something I wanted to share, as I think of what an army of bold, unashamed people on fire for God would look like. The army of God needs young people who will stand up and rise against the temptations of the world…rise up against strongholds, rise up against corrupt ways, rise up against unrighteous desires. I pray that God awakens the heart of the new generation…I pray He calls forth a group of people who won’t be afraid to shout from the mountaintops….I pray that he sends a wave of courage and boldness upon his children….I pray a holy encounter takes place that will sweep his children in an ocean of fearlessness. The heavens cry out for you!

Warrior1

I’m UN-attracted to and repelled by dim light
I’m on fire for Christ…
I don’t need a burning torch to carry
I’m drawn to something so bright…
Brighter than the so-called “illuminate ones”
You can call it God’s light
I got the Holy Spirit in me…
You can’t condemn me
My mind is focused…
My eyes and ears are opened…
No demon can touch me…
No wicked spirit can come against me…
My weapon is sharper than a two-edged sword
I’m armored and protected by the shield of faith
I’m victorious against the evil one…
I’m glorifying the Holy one….
Where’s the generation that shouts Hallelujah for Christ
Bold and unashamed to say I’m redeemed by Christ
Filled with the Holy Spirit and pleads the blood of Christ
The same generation caught up in music videos and x-rated shows
The same generation that can’t look past the Hollywood exterior and the shallow interior
See through the smoke and the lights
Read between the lines and the shallow rhymes
Recognize the dark melody is just a sick symphony
It’s time to stand up, time to rise up
Be who you were called to be
Put on the belt of truth
The breastplate of righteousness
Take up the shield of faith
The helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit
Stand firm because it’s time
It’s time
It’s time

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11

A Sinner’s Confession

sinner1

I am so small but He is so Big
I am so unworthy but He is so Kind
I am so undeserving but He is so Gracious
I am a sinner but He is my savior

I am His sheep and He is my Shepherd
I am His branch and He is my vine
I am His and He is mine

I know sometimes I’m out of line but He re-aligns my steps
Even in my weakness He sheds mercy and I am so thankful
At times when my spirit is empty & I cry out LORD I NEED MORE
His love becomes a river and it overflows
When I feel I can’t fight
He sits me down and whispers, “You’ve already won.”

I die daily when I carry this cross
I am not my own, for He is my master
Created my end before my beginning

I speak of the Lord who reigns, who rules, and sits on High
He watches over me and protects me
Never leaves me nor forsakes me
He heals me and delivers me

I wear a crown of beauty and a garment of praise
He chose me…He shaped me…He formed me
He prepared a path before me and I choose to follow
Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess
He is King of kings and Lord of lords

He is so Big and I am so small
He is so Kind and I am so unworthy
He is so Gracious and I am so undeserving
He is my savior and I am a sinner

BEAU-TI-FUL

She Is Me

Here she is
Having forty winks
She exists untold in thought
Time has departed
Still love can’t uncover her
Though she’s here
Standing here
She tries and fails
Grants all & falls
Beauty isn’t enough
Her darkest secrets aren’t enough
Simplicity is not enough
Her pain
Her hurt
Her anguish
Angst and sorrow
All gone astray
Now liberated
Unashamed of her imperfections
No longer concealed
The present presents itself
Unwrapped
Blemishes exposed
No enhancements and disclosed
All of her, All or nothing
Here she is

Just wanted to share something I wrote a while back….I never struggled with self-esteem or confidence, but sometimes you just want people to like you. I wrote this thinking of things I can’t fix… I can’t hide or change….I can’t be remodeled or refurnished, but I still wanted to be accepted. Looking back I would have told myself – God loves you just the way you are and you are perfect in his image!

I know it sounds cliché, but Listen – If you feel unworthy, unloved, or undeserving….I want to let you know that He designed, crafted, molded, and shaped you exactly how He wanted you. Every blemish, every spot, and wrinkle is exactly where He wanted it to be! He numbered the hairs on your head and outlined every inch of your fingerprint exactly how He wanted. He was and will always be the first one that fell in love with you before you were ever known.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” – Psalm 139:13

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” – Genesis 1:27

So, If you were made in His image – you were made BEAU-TI-FUL! You should feel joy knowing that if no one on the face of the earth ever likes you…or loves you one day, but makes you feel like the dirt beneath their feet another day – There will always be a greater love – greater than anything you can ever begin to fathom – I’m talking about an UNCONDITIONAL LOVE and that’s in the love of God!
